I wonder if Frictional will ever make any games which are more "gamey" perhaps even with less of an emphasis on plot.

Thomas Grip appears to be against "gamey" attitudes toward horror. However, I'd like to see a non-horror "fun" game by Frictional some time.

Why does every game that comes out have to "beat" the previous game? Isn't that limiting ourselves a bit, creating a dead end?

I hope they take notes from TCR on their writing and on visual and environmental storytelling, something which was mostly missing in TDD.

Shouldn't every subsequent game be better than the last, even if it's only due to developers getting better skills/talent?

That's implying that the previous games are less scary or horrifying than the newer ones. TDD and AMFP are both amazing games in their own rights.
