				I was wondering if there is a typewriter model somewhere on the internet that I can use for my custom story?

				If not, you could probably use some models from the internet, but don't do it unless you have permission.

But why should he use asset from internet, when he can take one from perhaps some modern mods.

Well, mods are from the Internet, so it would be the same. But again, he shouldn't take it from a mod unless he has permission to. It's the model's creator and/or owner who decides that.

				If I remember correctly you can use the one from "White night" IF you give him (and frictional games) credit.

It's going to be in the entity folder inside the white night folder, not in any specific level.
