I actually got farther in this time. Sadly, I have to put it to rest again because every time there's a scare I keep thinking fast and hitting my function keys.(Minimizing the game)

My laptop, a mac, overheats a lot when playing this game for over 20 minutes. The fans are very audible and some of the keys, particular my button for run 'R', burn slightly to the touch.
Maybe it's because all specs are on High.
It's got 2.3 GHZ processor and 8 GB ram.

Laptops do tend to get scorching hot, their air circulation isn't as good as desktops. Orrrr you just don't notice it on desktops because its not on your lap... Likely not though.
