Ok, since that final update, there's also been a final-final update and then, just for the hell of it, a final-final-final update.

Current version is 1.3.2. Here's the additional change-log (on top of what's in the post above).

Spoiler below!
Version 1.3.2
- Fixed the new gate in the secret area.
- Fixed the issue of the cutscene playing at the wrong time (after death).

Version 1.3.1
- Added the bat file back in which had somehow gone missing

....aaaaand I'm done. Smile

While it's awaiting authorisation on ModDb, it can be got from aethericgames.com

I thought I was done with The Trapdoor, but I've just been made aware of one particular remaining bug that I can't live with, so there's going to be a "final, final, final, final" update. I'll call it 2.0 and after that I will be "done, done, done, done".

So, I'll take the opportunity to iron out a handful of other little things too. Below is list of issues I will address. It contains actual spoilers!

  • I'll fix the issue of the voice over looping if you feed the Thing more than one pig or body part at a time OR I will make the elevator not work when there is more than one piece in it.
  • Strangely, if you complete the 5 feedings before finding the last page, you need to do one more feeding before the flashback occurs - I don't know where that crept in, I'm sure I tested it! It will be fixed. Thanks to YouTubers Raghn Ryker and Bendingo for pointing this out.
  • I'll make that fiendishly difficult note in Separation Anxiety/Fool If You Dare just a little bit easier. Thanks to ThatCrazyShaman for pointing it out.
  • I'll make it a little bit easier to avoid the grunts that appear around the trapdoor at the end so people are less likely to get the "game over" ending.

Would anyone like to suggest any additions to the list? All suggestions are welcome, but will not necessarily be actioned. Thanks!

Well spotted, thanks!

(That's a re-occurring typo of mine. Smile I blame years of working with the Half-Life and Source engines.)

Don't ask me, ask Google.

In this case it was probably just because someone big reported on it (Rock, Paper, Shotgun). Maybe Frictional decides what will show up, and they took interest in it.
