*Update* Amnesia: Escape From Refuge Demo
As stated in my previous post, I am working on a custom story. Anyways, although I still have a long way to go with it, I have prepared a demo to show off to the community. I have put dozens of hours into these maps alone. Any feedback that can be provided will greatly benefit the development process of the final game. Anyways, I've put it up on MediaFire. Here's the link.
Amnesia - Escape From Refuge
The year is 1801, a fine year for a gentleman like yourself. Between a lavish estate worthy of a king, a trove of resources beyond your reach, and affiliation with nobility, all would seem fairly quaint would it not? However, everyone is subject to making mistakes once in a while, no matter how powerful you are.
The very refuge you found in the lifestyle you once lived is now literally, your worst nightmare. Why you awoke without any recollection of your past is a mystery. Why you are haunted by visions of your past is even more mysterious. A recurring dream, a motif that is indecipherable, and a few memories are all that you have left.
There is a way to bring back yourself back, discover how before it's too late...

As we Always say;
Please show us some picures, preferred In-Game ones.
Or even better a small video if you want\can.
Now we only see a story, we would love to see some of you level creation.
OR just UPDATE your other thread.
Keep up the work!

RE: *Update* Amnesia: Escape From Refuge Demo
Very nice story writing and language. I liked the map designs, though they may be more detailed. Use more decals, and add stuff like books, bottles(especially in that room in the servants wing), boxes. I can see that you took the route of making a basic map and then finishing it, but I wouldn't suggest doing so. For me it's harder to come back to a map and add plenty of detail than make some details, some basic stuff... and after that scripting. Just a tip though
Add a sound of door unlocking when you open the library.
You also need to use pointlights much more instead of ordinary lamps. There are too many unlightened areas, especially in places that are meant (as I think) to be.
PS. I am in the library, but I don't have more time to play. Is there a lot of demo left ?

When I try to press level_door in second map, it crashes and I got some kind of line error? Fix it?

Which door was it exactly? Was it the one leaving the living quarters into the guest floor? I don't know why it would glitch. Try deleting the cache files in the maps folder and see if that helps. Also, what do you think of it so far?

Yeah, that living room, behind to that wooden door. It's pretty good, but can't say more, I will give review if I can manage to finish this demo.
