Suspiria (horror movie)

Does anyone here ever heard of this awesome looking horror movie from Italy?
I want to buy it, but it is very expensive, so I think reading some feedback before would be nice.

RE: Suspiria (horror movie)

I bought the movie for 50 euros! It seems to be a masterpiece of horror.

I'm not really irritated by the most modern films anyway. Earlier normal people were used who have played their part authentic. Today, more must be all super models who act really cheap and silly. That strikes me especially in American films, where everyone is always cool ("Hey man", "Hey, all right", "Fuck that shit") such stupid sayings appear staged cheaply. Moreover, in an era of computer-effects everything had to be always exaggerated and spectacular, whereas psychological aspects were totally neglected. All that destroys films. The true art is to create from a little as possible a much as possible. So there are many black and white stripes at lengths better than a modern action-blockbuster in 4K and 3D.

In this day and age is anyway most of all just money making. So much shit is produced and the mainstream goes totally from it. Either people are getting dumber because they watch such films, or films are more stupid because they are adjusted for the width of the mass. I dont know.

Because I am a horror fan, my colleague recommended me "Evil Dead". The film is a typically cheaper. Neither creepy yet somehow emotionally or interesting story-wise. There are only cubic meters of blood spilled easily. What should be it horror I do not know, it's just ridiculous and primitive. That is why I am always thoroughly according to very specific beads that make everything right. These are unfortunately usually rather unknown and rare, but that is what distinguishes true treasures. But I will gladly pay a little more for it.

Other brillant horror movies I bought:

Mill Of The Stone Women (1960)
Psycho (1960)
The Innocents (1961)
The Premature Burial (1962)
The Haunted Palace (1963)
The Haunting (1963)
The Curse Of The Living Dead (1966)
Rosemary's Baby (1968)
The House That Wouldn't Die (1970)
Black Christmas (1974)
The Changeling (1980)
House Of The Long Shadows (1982)
Poltergeist (1982)
Cujo (1983)
Silver Bullet (1986)
Child's Play (1988)
Rose Red (2002)

Wow, 50€ for that film? Apart from the unusual play with colors and one or two very good scenes there was really nothing remarkable in that film for me. Maybe it's just me, after all it got 7.5 on IMDB and many critics seem to love it. And if you found it to be a masterpiece, too, okay. Smile

That's not my opinion. I red a lot of critics and most are very positive. Almost everyone is calling it a masterpiece, because it is an experimental horror film. I also watched some scenes (not trailer) and I think the movie does a very excellent job to create a creepy feeling. This is rare nowadays!

I know that 50 euros is much money for a movie, but look how much crap is out there. I rather pay more money for an extra good movie instead to waste 8 euros for a dumbed "horror" garbage. Bad movies are even not worth to get watched again, where good movies makes you proud as long they take place in your collection.

And the box is limited to only 4350 units worldwide.
While the old-school horror genius "Mill Of The Stone Women" (pictures below) is limited to only 999 units!
I got the uncut big box also for high price.

Okay, be sure to let us know what you think of it after seeing it. I'd rather call it an experimental horror movie with black humour and some splatter elements, that evoked only few and short-lasting moments of tension for me.

I will do, but this could take a while. I am even not sure whether I should open the box, because it is very rare.

To get a little taste of the unique, disturbing atmosphere in this movie:
