RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread
Will we be able to hide like in Outlast and Alien isolation?

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread
From what I've seen, the creature AI isn't as complex as the Alien from Isolation.
I don't think it's a hide and seek kind of interraction.
I could be wrong though.

I would suspect there would be some forms of hiding though, considering while its not hide and seek, since you do have no means to defend yourself.

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread
Agreed.
That's my bad. I wasn't too specific on my previous answer. Allow me to elaborate.
When I say hide and seek like Alien. I mean you'll probably be able to hide in a cupboard or under a table multiple times, as long as the creature can't see/hear you.
In Alien, it would eventually learn your hiding spots and hunt you down. I think in terms of this game, if it can't see or hear you, it won't adapt.
We've seen from the creatures trailer (the shadow creature) that once it knows you're around, it will go looking for you, but I don't think in a super smart way like the Alien.

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread
For all those who already downloaded the files:
Can you open the enemy models (from the creature trailer only) in 3d program and send me pictures? I wanna take a closer look at them.

If I knew how to get there, I would consider it.

It's probably arranged as the same as amnesia. Just search "enemy" or something in the redist folder.

No no, it's not that - it's that the files are compressed in a particular format which is unreadable (unless I have/use the right extracting tools, but if the compressed files lack files, then it'll spit out garbage, since Steam will download the last few stuff when release happens).
