Worst regards, Kejdane.

RE: 2009-11 Tuesday 3rd, Amnesia entered into the IGF competition
Hey, I liked the fan art Grodz. :-)
As for the name...I guess I shouldn't criticize it, but it just seems a little too confining and descriptive. Something with a bit more mystique like "Lux Tenebras" would probably work a little better in my opinion.
Regardless of the name, I'm psyched for the game, and hope you guys tear it up in the contest!

The fact that Tom Jubert isn't writing it this time around is kind of a shocker, but I'm sure this "Michael" person will be a good choice.

DOBAL POST

This time we wanted something that fitted the game and was not some jumble of words And I can at least assure you that "Amnesia - The Dark Descent" is a quite accurate description of the game in more than one way.
It may sound nice in a Swedish translation, quite possibly, but to me, "The Dark Descent" really does sound like someone jumbled words together but was sane enough to have the words make some sense. It sounds akin to something generic sounding such as "dark death." A good name for this game would be, say, "Unknown." It's basically the same as "Amnesia," but less saying "Hey, you start out with amnesia."

I hope, the game is eerie enough.
Very dark levels, scary music and bloody dead bodys.
And it is very nice, if there are difficult puzzles like Penumbra.
And there will be a german version?
I hope I can bought it in a shop in germany.
Penumbra was very exclusive to get. No shop have it.
But the one what's important is very deep eerieness and logic physicial puzzles.

Looks pretty....well, pretty awesome. Are you guys going to have any friendly NPCs in this game that your character meets and works with in person, or is it going to be very much like Penumbra: Overture, where it's all via radio?

Quote:And there will be a german version?
We are hoping to to have all versions of the game (that is both boxed and digital) have multi language support. But I am afraid I cannot confirm anything at this point.

We are always investigating new ways of having NPC interaction that feels immersive and is within our limits. I think Black Plague tried some new stuff compared to Oveture and we are checking out new ways for Amnesia aswell. Future will tell how different from our previous games it will be.
