For any of you who still owns Unreal Tournament 2004, there's a new Total Conversion coming out for it. It's been in production for over 7 years, made pretty much entirely by ONE man.
It's a First-Person shooter Survival Horror game. Pretty much, you're one man in a zombie-infested town, and you have to use your wits (and ammunition) to get out alive. Combat is a pretty big component of the game, but knowing when to fight and when to run is a key thing to know, from what things sound like.
The mod has had trouble with getting its name out and holding a really large fanbase, mainly because of constant delays and innumerable missed released dates. But this should be it--October 31st, Hallow's Eve, Hell will be released upon the world!
Just download the trailer from the Files + Media section. You'll get a great feel for the atmostphere and environment. The game isn't ALL about shooting and running though, for you can find notes (ala Penumbra!) that'll lend itself to setting up the plot, and NPCs who'll guide your way and help you (to a limited extent).
The mod looks epic, and fun. Check it out here! (To confirm the release date, you gotta go to the forum).
