No, you use the modlauncher to run mods. Mods can be "custom stories" or add-ons to soma or total conversions.

Yes that was weird... When i started Soma via steam only this launcher came up... without a play button.
Lucky me i found the nosteam exe in the folder :3

Check the workshop for two examples of mods and open the entry.hpc files in a text editor.

Just reading the wiki page for materials and I've a question re: normal maps: What tangent basis does hlp3 use? mikkTspace? 3dsmax? Something proprietary? Fairly insignificant question in the scheme of things but I thought I'd ask anyway.

When you're done making a map and save it and all, how do you launch it? I've saved it but when I run ModLauncher both places are empty with my mod nowhere to be found in it.

Are there any information about settings of this file?
For example, Type = "StandAlone", "AddOn", something else?
How insert image at the mod description? What is the PublishedId? I must setup this numbers himself?
Sorry for to many questions, but I can't find any info about it in the HPL3 Documentation.

I think the wiki has been updated with better info about this, or it will happen shortly. But short:

Make a mods/ in the game folder (next to soma.exe etc). Put mods in here for the none steam mod launcher to find them. When using the steam modlauncher the mods end up in steam/steamapps/common/workshop/soma/... (or something very similar). You can copy a mod folder from the workshop directory to the mods directory to easier work with the mod and to use the none steam launcher to test it.

Type are as far as I know only StandAlone and AddOn. StandAlone makes a custom_story or total conversion. The AddOn makes an addon to SOMA, for example the loading bar mod in the workshop.

Images and extended descriptions can be created on Steam in the workshop.

PublishedID you do not have to bother about, the ModUploader will fill it out when you upload a mod to workshop.
