The game doesn't run in full screen (1440p on 4k monitor)!

Hey,

unfortunately SOMA is not working properly when using a 1440p resolution on a 4k monitor.

Even if "fullscreen" is enabled the game doesn't run in full screen. Instead of this the game just shows up on the left top corner while the rest of the desktop stays visible. Restarting the PC or changing the settings.cfg doesn't solve the problem either.

Users complained about this issue several times since the release of the game on the Steam forums, but there never came a useful response from a developer or a fix.

My specs are:
- Intel Core i7-6700k CPU
- Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury Tri-X GPU
- Samsung U28E590D monitor

Please assist me! I want to play the game in 2.5k because it didn't perform well enough with my components on 4k.

In the first bunch of Steam comments you posted, one user suggests this method:

I was able to fix it by manually changing the .cfg file in: \Documents\My Games\Soma\Main\. set the desired resolution and set fullscreen to "true".

changing display settings in-game messes it up again though.

Yes, I tried it (I mentioned it in my post before). It didn't work though.

How can I contact the developers of the game? Do they even look at the forums sometimes?
Could you notify them about this bug?

maybe try changing your desktop resolution to what you want to use, and then launch the game. maybe delete your config file before just to get a fresh start.
