Steam workshop example map for non-steam versions?

Hello there!

I'd like to ask the developers or other players if it'd be possible to share the steam workshop example map (maybe loading screen bar thing too, but i don't know exactly what it is) on a non-steam link for those with the GOG version? I read all the things written here so far about the modding environment, and i'd like to ask if we'd be able to share our work in moddb too in the regular way (just like we did with Amnesia). I never really liked the steam workshop, i like manual install / manual storing of my files and the mods i download, i hope the system of amnesia haven't changed much! I'm about 70% in finishing the game, and can't wait to finally start modding.

Thanks for the answers!

Here's the content from the workshop upload of the example map:
.zip   521867713.zip (Size: 1.03 MB / Downloads: 228)
Not sure how you'd install it or use it, but that's all it downloaded from it.

Well, thing is, those files are saved in another folder... steamapps\workshop\content\282140\521867713

I don't know how you'd apply that folder structure to the non-steam version, and merging folders would result in some confusion when uninstalling mods and might overwrite some stuff too!

KiraImmortal make a mods folder in the SOMA directory if it is not there, then put the 521867713 folder in it and it should show up in the mod launcher.

RE: Steam workshop example map for non-steam versions?

thank you! jens how should i do my own maps if i want to test them? should i put them in the mods folder too with a chosen name?

Also one last question (sorry, i'm just so excited about this great new game), in your previous games porting between penumbra and amfp was absolutely okay (for which the whole modding community is grateful i suppose).

What about porting from amnesia to SOMA?

And what about porting from SOMA to amnesia?

Which one is permitted? Of course i'm gonna use original assets on first try, but i mostly used content from other frictional games and custom ones too in my mods.
