RE: ROMULATOR! Remember this?
But that's when they stop selling W7 preinstalled PCs, though, not stop supporting it?

I've noticed my "Get Windows 10" notifications becoming a bit more predominant and annoying >.>
They'll probably continue to offer support for some time.

RE: ROMULATOR! Remember this?
I uninstalled that Get Windows 10 app. I have no plans of getting it on my private setup.

RE: ROMULATOR! Remember this?
I got it on my laptop, and saying the process was a pain is putting it lightly. I'll still probably get it on my desktop eventually, but I'll probably wait until the last possible moment before it stops being free, to give it time for Microsoft to iron out some of the major shortcomings.

RE: ROMULATOR! Remember this?
I really don't like how much of a breach in privacy Windows 10 is. Did you know that moments after installing it, it sends screenshots of the computer screen? I presume it's sent to MS but I can't remember, though it was tested and proven that it collected screenshots that were sent.
Edit: I wasn't able to at least easily find the video of the test, so I guess I can't say it's proven until I do.

RE: ROMULATOR! Remember this?
Yeah. It also collects program signatures to try and detect if your program installations are legitimate, and it logs key presses. It sends a bunch of this stuff to Microsoft, and even though there is a slider in the settings to toggle these "security features", the slider itself is disabled, so they can't be turned off.

Yes, that is correct. What I posted back in the day was already a half-joke, but at some point it will eventually happen.
