Polaris by Jimmy Eat World. Not too bad, Pandora picks good stuff every now and then.

Rightmost track - I know it is a very well-known piece, but I can't remember the name or the composer. Someone help me out, please. Smile

Why are all the double reeds so cool?

Yeah, double reeds are badass. Too bad they are so expensive.

Apparently, many of the human-like hums and screeches in the Amnesia soundtrack are actually recordings of Mikko's bassoon. Just goes to show how awesome these things are.

Btw, that song you posted was one of my favorites for a long time, thanks for reminding me of its existence. Smile

I also found that tidbit in the commentary to be really interesting. The effects are so thick it almost doesn't sound like a bassoon. Still, having a leitmotif for the water monsters in the background music is IMO a brilliant idea. They are completely voiceless in-game and yet you sympathize with them ever so slightly because they feel like they could be actual animals (unlike the grunts/brutes).

The fifth gnossienne will always be my favorite though. It's so subtle it hurts.
