Only possible solution that comes to my mind:
Someone buys ad place from Google for YouTube and they get profit that way...

That means YouTube gets MORE money from the ads, not less. Why would Google only use the ads to advertise for themselves?

None of the ads on Google Ads are for Google. They are all paid advertisements by other websites/companies.
