You're probably thinking of UTC, which is the actual international standard for time derived from GMT, and changes with DST.
I'm assuming the info provided here http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=239
is correct.

is correct. No, as the site mistakes GMT for UTC (a common, but still incorrect usage). GMT is simple the current time in Britain and some other countries in that time zone. It was depracated as the international standard in favour of UTC 30 years ago. When people write "GMT+1" they usually mean "UTC+2".

I'm decrypting the files in Steam right now.

RE: Time in which game unlocks
What country are you in? I am in Poland and I cannot preload Amnesia yet. On steam store it says "This game will unlock in approximately 7 hours" - why so late?

I believe it acts according to your time.
It says 7 hours to me, too. BTW, I'm GMT +3, due to summer time.

RE: Time in which game unlocks
I live in Finland.
Maybe you can trick the clock by turning it 7 hours forward?
Old trick, but it might work if you're lucky.

Seems that if you bought a game at frictional store you can enter the key to steam and download it now. But if you bought the game on steam, you have to wait. It sucks a bit.
