It doesn't do at all what the directions or your video says it's supposed to do, it doesn't ask me where to install my custom story, it checks for updates then flips out at me and tells me I have to have a custom story for it to create an installer for when I haven't even had the chance to select one

ohhhhhh haha, thanks for clarifying that

If you want, I can try and see if a simple script can give you the absolute path of the game. However your program should run the script and understand the path for the game and then work.

Well, the question is: Are the custom_stories folder in the game folder? Or at a fixed path in the home directory?

Can you choose any path? Or is it like "\SomeFixedDirectory\SomeYouChoose"?

custom_stories folder is in the same directory where Amnesia.bin is. So no, it's not SomeFixedDirectory.

Though, here's the possible paths you can install:
- /usr/local/games
- /usr/games
- /opt
- /home/username

Can you tell me where you've installed it?

I've installed it to /usr/games folder because every linux game I've had is there. So, absolute path to custom stories /usr/games/Amnesia/custom_stories

Could you possibly test if it's working?
It requires Mono, though.

You can download the creator here (Note that creation has been disabled): http://www.amnesia.treesoft.dk/downloads...onTest.exe

I just need to know if it detects the path on Linux. (Shown on the welcome screen).

I would have tested it myself, but my graphics card is dead, so my Virtual Machine isn't running all that great.

This is the creator. It creates installers, it doesn't install anything.

People make a custom story, create an installer using this program, which they then distribute.

There's a batch file in the redist folder that you need to double click on to play Through the Portal.

On Mac:

-Find your Amnesia.app
-Right-click > Show Package Contents
-Drop the custom story's folder in Contents > Resources > custom_stories

I'm using a MacBook Pro as well, the above is how I install them. If that doesn't work, I dunno what to say. :\

THANK YOU SO MUCHExclamation

RE: Amnesia Custom Story Installer

I have recently made a map in the Amnesia Level Editor and wish to play it. Your Installer sounds to be the solution I have been looking for, but it has a problem. I am using a Linux computer and your installer is a Windows Installer. Do you have, or are you making a Linux compatible one?
