well if i can dig up photoshop i can make some but cant find the cd right now Sad

but somewhere on the forum, someone made headers for the main menu (he tought they where better) but they could be used as a base for a signature Smile

Heres just a resize of the banner found on the main P:O page, hope its useful.

I'm also a sucker for viral or those kinda "WTF" banners you may find. I'd love to see some banners that make you want to click it. I had an idea of adding some sort of spooky face or have a hand come out of the hatch with blood/scratch marks around, and just a phrase taken from the story of the game, hope we can see some better ones in the future, but I tried this one anyway:

I like the original banner. The floor opening/portal/whatever is just too damn bloody. It isn't scary. It looks like fake Christmas cotton "snow" with red on it. And why have a statement or comment? Leave it up to the player's imagination. Everything like that has been said and done, and it just comes off as corny and so last decade.

You get the picture. Common.

What Penumbra: Overture has going for it is the coolness of the frozen tundra with the rusty metal portal hiding all that horror underneath.

If you "gore it up" too soon, it ruins the anticipation.

Less is more. Leave something to the imagination of the game buyer. Something really scary - but "cool" - like the ice-blue color of sheer frozen isolation and paranoia.
