Amnesia: Survival

This Amnesia project aims to create a unique and interesting experience. It provides the player with a sandbox environment, where a total freedom is given to the player. It is very similar to other building/survival games, but in the game we all know and love.

I'm not doing it to rip of other game mechanics, I'm doing it, because I love sandbox games and love Amnesia even more.

The Custom Story is currently in the Prototyping stage, I'm working on the base code and many key features are already implemented. The feature section on this page will be updated.

Can I play it?

At this stage (0.0.1 PROTOTYPE), it is NOT possible to play the mod.
I am, however, going to release a working stable version, that will be frequently updated.

A Utility will be provided to ensure Game Save compatibility, though it is a 3rd party software written by me. (coming after the first build release)

How Frequent are the updates?

Generally speaking, monthly builds are going to be released.

  • Time & DAY/NIGHT cycle
  • Sandbox Terrain (about 10-15 minutes real time to run from one end to the other)
  • BuildTool (Allows you to create real objects from blueprints and vice versa)
  • KeyChain (Unlocks and Lock all created doors)
  • RecycleTool (Does nothing in the current version)
  • Craft Table (checks for planks, handles crafting)
  • Current Build objects: Board, Wooden Wall, Wooden Window, Wooden Pillar...
  • Grunt comes at night if the player is not asleep.
  • Day lasts about 10 minutes.

Looks like someone finally beat me to a crafting table concept, something I've been keeping under wraps for over a year now Tongue

Interesting project; good luck with it, though it's not something that appeals to me personally Smile

"And now for something completely different". Remaking Minecraft in Amnesia. That's awesome and weird at the same time. Two questions:
Is it scripted as a normal Custom Story or a total Conversion ?
Will there be randomly generated objects on the map ?

Btw, I've been thinking about making something soothing in Amnesia for a while now, and this is a good example that it is possible Tongue

It's a One-Map Custom Story

Will there be randomly generated objects on the map ?
Yes, structures will be both procedural AND prefab based and will indeed be randomly scattered.
