The insanity issues are very important to the environment and mood of the game, feeling oppressed and beset. I'd say try it again.

Yeah I was thinking of a total restart. But most of the scripted events won't be scary anymore.

Trust me, with insanity on it will be at least more unsettling, if not scary. And if you haven't finished the game yet, then there is still plenty of scares coming ahead Wink Btw, when I played it through for the second time, i was startled by the fact that monsters don't always behave the same way Confused

Better to reign in hell than to be a servant in heaven.
