Soma black screen upon startup.

Update:

I went into my bios, and changed my graphics card from "dynamic" to "fixed". Tried Soma, and it started up, went to the main menu and even started playing the first cut scene. I was super happy. But then as the car crashed in the cut scene, my game did too. Almost at the exact same time.

But what's interesting is that I can run the level editor and other editors now, I couldn't do that before. I also tried loading the "test" map in the mod launcher, and I was actually able to play that. So I know I can run the game for sure.

Seems like I solved one problem but got another one on my hands. Would anyone know why this crash could be happening? It's running so smooth until the car crash.

Are you able to post a new hpl.log after the crash happens? If it's now become a separate issue, that's the first thing to check!

Nah this is fine, don't stress.

It appears that a few entities in the first level may be missing a few bones or textures in their models. Are you able to verify the game's integrity via Steam now? Take a look at Problem I of the Troubleshooting Guide if you need some assistance with that. This will check if your files are up to date and installed correctly.

I verified the integrity. It said there were seven missing files, and that it would retrieve them, or something along those lines. So tried running it after it was finished, but it didn't seem to help at all. Still froze at the car crash. But after verifying, I checked HPL again, and I don't think it is any different. (I'll attach the new one)

Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but the exact problem is still happening. The same textures still missing
