notes in overture (spoilers)

Some of the notes in Overture had me confused. The ones talking about "enlightened caste" and "divination" and whatnot. My guess is that they're from that secret organization that is trying to use the Tuurngaiit, can't remember their name.

But it's a real throw-off from the immersion, I think. I kept "pulling back" from the game and trying to figure out who these people were. Since there's not a whole lot of information on who they are, I was wondering if they were some kind of aliens. After all, there's no kind of human that has "divination".

I'm gonna start BP soon. Is there any more information on these notes and the people behind them?

Yeah, it's called Archaic. Apparently some kind of private "alien hunter" organization that identifies and isolates alien stuff to protect humanity. As you can imagine, the Tuurngaiit caught their attention.

They're not named in Overture though, which caused my confusion. Especially the bit about Castes and divination. Made me think they were some crazy cult.

Oh yea! Now I remember all those announcements over the loud speaker in Requiem....they were always talking about Archaic faculty and stuff! Oh the memories...
