Point and spotlight = not working [solved]

Hi. I have the hpl level editor, and i'm making a custom story. But i'm having problems with the point light and the spot light. They doesn't work. When i turn the A and P buttons off, the entire room goes black. The lights are active but they still doesn't work. I can still see the lights in game, but not in the editor.

In tutorials on youtube, and on pictures, the lights work in the editor.

I am not sure if there is something wrong with the level editor, but if someone know how to fix it, that would be nice.

You didn't change anything about the spot lights? Placed them there and they had no effect?

Sometimes my point lights start out with a radius of 0.014.

I did change the spot light. I increased the radius to 2, but it still doesn't work... If you look at the point lights at the picture, they are not working. The spot light is just like them.

can you upload a copy of the map so we can rule out any thing that might be causing it in the level

Ok, i have posted the map (but not the script.) If you need the script too, then tell me.

And btw, i loaded some of the main maps too. The lights still did not work.

The only light that work is the box light.

Hahah, I saw the map, my first words that came out were

"Haha holy sh!t... that's way to many props"

maybe you don't have enough ram or something and its forced the lights to not render, does they work in game?

No they did not. When I downloaded the Hpl level editor, i noticed that the lights did not work. So I downloaded it two more times (from the same link) and got the same result...

The link was from the Frictional games wiki.

So the ligths did not work before and they do not work now...

I got about 4 gb ram. Is that enough?

so your video card drivers are updated?
normally the issues are with the game itself, we haven't had issues with the level editor when the game runs fine

I'm afraid it looks like that computer is a extremely rare case and you wont be able to use the editor on that particular PC
