RE: Model editor help

for example you want a grunt to have a spot light in his eyes you put the spot light in is head( doesn't need to be inside) then in the top menu open the "view" thingy then outline or something... then you see a bunch of parts of the grunt, bones skin etc... find the bone of his head and then i think edit atachment or something... waht ever you open the right botton on the window a choce the spot light... then wend it walks the spot light will be in his head... no matter his position.

Oh, that's ok. It works.
However, waterlurker doesn't have any bones nor shapes.

Any way to make a particle or billboard to tie it?

You can't tie anything to a mesh. Only bones or shapes.
I created a shape and tied it to mesh, but when it gets walking, its mesh and particles stays still.

Well, I don't have some finished idea, but I don't want to use same thing over and over. And my mod is story-oriented, and I want to make some story-oriented things.

RE: Model editor help

ok i made a waterlurker whith some kind of light, you could say it are the eyes of the monster Tongue
what i did is making a bone in 3ds max at the waterlurker.dae (attached the bone to the model too)
in the model editor, i just attached a light to the bone i created Tongue and voila Tongue

i'll add a .rar file so you can see this example model
link : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WWSZGLRE
other variant : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HSPW6YZ7

the problem is i can't select the waterlurker in level editor, but whith the object finder i can delete it too though Tongue
