Walls doesn't seem to fit very well

Hello again, seems like I always stumble upon problems Tongue

So I took a screenshot, let me show you:

On the left side, I merged a wall_door_way_arched with a Wall_Default_Short, but when I'm in-game it doesn't seem to fit that well.

On the right side, I used Wall_Window_Blue_1 and merged it with Wall_Default and you can easily see the white "bug" line showing on the screenshot. And this screenshot makes it look better than it actually is.

What am I doing wrong? How can I make them fit better together?

That, my good fellow, is because the walls aren't seamless. Such is the same with Cellarbase. Stick a welder in there to hide the gap. Castlebase and Cellarbase aren't seamless, so a welder is a must between all wall pieces.

Sorry I don't really understand, both of them are taken from the same "base". You can find both under "castlebase" so why wouldn't they fit? :S (talking about the window and wall_default atm)

If you want them to be perfect, you're going to need to edit the .dae file in a 3D modeling program and possibly even modify the textures. Otherwise, do as suggested and shove a welder in between or something to try and hide the flaws.

Just to clarify, be saying welders, you mean like pillars? Because that doesn't sound like it would look very nice Big Grin

Yes, they mean the pillars. It's really the only solution to that problem (unless you want to do what Your Computer said, which would be far too much work for such a trivial problem.)

Everyone does it, and as you can see, rarely anybody notices it, because you didn't even know about it Smile

I care to disagree. Many people miss this fine little detail. Castlebase has a more subtle seamless structure, whereas Cellarbase has a more obvious one. And still I find custom story after custom story without welders. Castlebase is forgivable, because a quick glance won't reveal the seam. Cellarbase is not.

I guess I'll try and find some suitable welders for the window wall but I think I'll just let the door wall be as it is.
