RE: Awesomeness poster?

if you copy alexanders poster, view it in the model editor, put the poster on, save as a different name, then get it in the map editor, shouldn't it be working just fine?O_O i mean i have no idea about the whole map and model creation thingy, but that sounds the most logic way for me...

RE: Awesomeness poster?

that does sound logic, yes xD but there are more things you've gotta do Wink when you makening a new texture, you should also make the normalmap and specularmap Tongue and the path that's saying which texture should be on which model, should be correct as well Tongue

RE: Awesomeness poster?

I don't know what I should do. Thats the problem.

Yesterday I took the dds file from Alexanders potrait and convertet it into JPEG. Then I edited it with photoshop. Then I convertet the new JPEG file in dds again and deleted the old Alexander dds file (was a mistake). Then worked it. Now I have the Alexander dds file back and now he shows me the original picture again. Not the edited. I tried it with rename, materialeditor, blender, searched help by google and it still doesen't works. I'm getting frustated...

RE: Awesomeness poster?

calm down (A)
you could try to apply your custom maded texture into blender on your model (the poster in this case). after that you should make .mat file, like every other model has too Smile this is easy, whith the program called, Material Editor Wink save the .mat in the same folder as your model.
that should work. if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

RE: Awesomeness poster?

I tried that already. But I don't have any idea how the programm Blender works. First problem is that I never worked with models or Blender and the second is the language. I'm german and I don't understand everything Tongue

RE: Awesomeness poster?

I watched tutorials about Blender and did what you told me and I made a mistake in the ModelEditor.
So the picture was not right in the frame (screenshot). But after I rotated the picture a bit, it worked Big Grin
