RE: Awakening to Shattered Life v1.3 (Fully playable now)
Hey, I played your custom story, and it was quite nice!
Story wasn't that original, but I think it's hard to come up with a good original story these days
Spoiler below!
After reading the note in William's office, it says, that it had no capital letters etc. but the note HAD this stuff.
I had really problems finding that lever:
Spoiler below!
it was hardly visible in the shelf, you probably should put it further below
Spoiler below!
What's the orb for? I finished the custom story with 1 piece at the altar, and the rest of the pieces in my inventory. Do you need it when you choose to sacrifice William?
Spoiler below!
I REALLY loved these 'self-made' monsters in the dungeon area! They had a really creepy look, although the kitchen knife looked a bit odd (but you shouldn't trigger it so often, after the first two, it wasn't that scary anymore

Humiliation: Yes I know, really hard.

Ups. My mistake.

Maybe, but I want some challenge in that puzzle and little frustration included too

Nope. Sacrifide choice doesn't need any orbs. Only Traitor needs, then you have finish that "6 orb altar Quest" and escape from the dungeon.

I know, I get exited and making those little more.
I've enjoyed it!
Thanks for your feedback I'm really happy if this was good CS for you
I have played a lot of Custom Stories on Amnesia, and all I can say is... This is the best one I have ever played! It was fantastic!
I was thoroughly enjoying myself throughout the whole story, was scared at nearly every moment, not knowing what would happen, unlike other custom maps I have played, where it has cheap jumps and scares, this story make me terrified the whole time, through the atmosphere, and unpredictable events, and completely nailed it!
The detail and design of all the rooms are brilliant, everything is to scale. The story line was also very good, and actually made sense, including the notes. A lot of custom maps in the past, the stories seemed rushed, and did not make any sense to me, no matter how hard I tried.
There was no bugs or problems at all in the game. The map took me around 1 hour 30 minutes to complete, which is great. Having a very detailed and brilliant map, and not being incredibly short.
Some of the puzzles took me a little while to figure out, and I nearly gave up at one point, as I had never seen anything like them before. When I finally solved the puzzle, I got a very satisfying feeling of joy, and accomplishment, rather than "Omg that was way to hard, took forever..."
Overall, I thought this was an amazing custom story, and you clearly spent a long time creating this, and I would recommend it to all Amnesia player. I really hope you keep the good maps coming. You have even inspired me to create my own Custom Story. Although I doubt it will be as awesome as this.
Thanks again for the map, and the chills down my spine. 5/5

HumiliatioN Productions Presents to you:
" Awakening to Shattered Life "
HumiliatioN have already another serious project going on and this time I'll take time with this project and trying to make beautiful, atmospheric, scary as hell.
Now I have started this slowly but anyway making something progress for start.
Story telling: My previous story telling was pretty lame and fast paced not focusing for that. Only decent design and also pretty good scares. Now I'm focusing that and try not to make any mistakes "with writing" Sorry but I'm not best to writing any stories on the notes.
Design: This one I'm focused a lot and try to put my best skills to make something very nice and enjoyable to play and watch how this one is beautifully maded.
Scares: Yes this is one of my focused part to make something "Unique and something familiar to scares" I'm not Pro to do scripting but better than when I was making my first projects like "Fear The Darkness and Forbidden Castle" I dont count these even my good projects. Insidious was succesful some points and Unforgiven Memories.
Story shortly: It's sunny morning. I wake up in my castle and I notice a letter on my desk. I read it and then I go to see my servant "William". Later I sleep through the night. Then I woke up suddenly and I hear some strange voices. I have feeling something is not right.
Working hours total: Too much.
Story RELEASED!
Awakening to shattered life is here!
New Updates: v1.1 version, fixed some parts.
New Updates v1.2
- Fixed grunt kill bug in (Warehouse)
- Ladders
- Some lightning
1.3 Version final fixed: Fully playable to play both "end parts" and finish the story. Tested couple times!
- Ten full of action maps.
- Two choices to end the game.
- Great fear
- Good & fun Puzzles
- Chilling atmosphere
- Almost an hour of gameplay.
In this story, you really do not get:
- Cheap scares
- Clear and bright places, except at the beginning.
- Bad map design
- No intimidation
- Dull story
- Poorly designed to handle the problems and only the key to the door key on the door etc.
