what do I do when I finish downloading it and extracting it? I wasnt able to play the others, because i do not know how to get them to work

Extract the folder "The Attic_CH1" into your "custom stories" folder located in your main Amnesia. After that, go into the game itself, click "custom stories" button, and it should come up with "The Attic" game description and options to play this game or exit.

Well, what program are you using to unzip/extract the folder? You might need to try another program.
