ALIEN: Isolation

What if Frictional Games would make an ALIEN game? Probably it would look like this:

ALIEN: Isolation

There has never been an ALIEN game with the atmosphere and feeling of the first (and imho best) ALIEN movie. Hopefully they get it right this time...

More details on gameplay:

RE: ALIEN: Isolation

I must say I would be excited, but since the last Aliens game (the one Gearbox fucked up), I would have to pause before I take out some cash from my wallet and put it on the table.

Genre is overdone. Frictional should stick with their psycholological horror stuff.

What exactly do you mean with "Genre is overdone"? How many space-horror-games without guns do you know?

Really excited.

RE: ALIEN: Isolation

Interesting. Lots of people have talked about Alien being long overdue for a proper survival horror game, and its influence is pretty obvious in that genre - Dead Space comes to mind, as does the Marine campaigns of the AvP games.

Not sure if it'll be successful, but my fondness of AvP 2 makes me hopeful. But there WILL be weapons in this game - the video shows the protagonist carrying the same sort of makeshift flamethrower that Ripley used in the first movie.
