The strangest I've personally encountered is this dialogue from the first Fallout:
Me: "C D E D B D Ducks!"
NPC: "M R Not Ducks!"
Me: "O S M A! C D E D B D Wings?"
NPC: "Y I B M R Ducks"

Apparently it's a reference to an even older game called Wasteland. Bonus points if you can figure out what it means without googling.

Mhmm, i know Freeman reference... That Big Ben gun is pimp Big Grin:
Fallout is actually a spiritual child of Wasteland, produced by a different developer. i think they had hopes that they could be included in the wasteland "series" (only 1 was ever made)

There's this one Easter Egg in the old game Dungeon Siege, near the end of the game. I don't remember how you get to it, but there's a particular elevator you go down in this dark, menacing, slimy dungeon, and you suddenly find yourself in the middle of a discotheque.

Between the 70's music playing, the floor with the colored lights, a car that when you use actually bounces with the hydraulics, and a Top Hat with a feather you can actually wear. Not to mention the goblin-like monster with an afro and a leisure suit.

It was pretty damn funny when I saw it, to say the least.

I think you should get a tame darkdiggy at the end. That's an underground creature (but it's not creepy, actually it's rather cute and most times they ar peaceful). That's a wierd ending, is'nt it?
