Ah. So I have to delete the game from within Steam and then reinstall it?
What if I have some SAVE files I wish to keep?

I'm not sure deleting it will help, I thought that was what you wanted to do as you were poking around in the Steam folder?
Saved games will not be deleted, they are stored in My Documents/Penumbra/ and not deleted when uninstalling.
