Canada? - Nothing bad EVER happens to Canada. They're like "What is war??"
Sweden? - So far... Seems cool XD And hey, look where I am! The netherlands, the place to be: legal softdrugs, epic parties. Just perfect :] Indeed, I live in Belgium, and it's only a one hour drive to the Netherlands from my place
Epic indeed!!

RE: SOPA. Have you heard?
Thank you for your answer. That's kind of you, and it's a point of view I haven't looked into.
However, although your metaphor is exactly what happens at the moment, patching that bleeding was never something people would take care of. To be in the point of a gun is what they make to take action, that's all. SOPA will not pass as it is now, I'm sure. Same thing happened in my country.
However, after SOPA is taken care of, will people unite again to fight against other big issues? I don't think so. But I hope so.

Because of that people realize if they're gonna stop it they need to act now and focus all their attention on it if they want to make a difference. Now I'm not saying the other issues aren't important, it's just that people want to make sure this thing doesn't get through and since time is running short they want to make a big impact now. It's kinda like (and I know this metaphor is kinda morbid, but it's true) if someone was holding a gun to your head and said they were about to kill you in a few seconds, but at the same time you were bleeding out. Sure both Issues would result in your death, but you have time to patch up a bleeding wound, if you don't take care of the guy holding a gun to your head immediately he would kill you, so you'd probably want to deal with that first, you know what I mean?

RE: SOPA. Have you heard?
From my perspective, I find that people are made to feel small in this world. Humans are similar to ants. 1 can only do so much. In numbers they can do amazing things. It just seems with the media forcing the words "Depressive Recession is here" etc. it is actually hard to care about anyone else but your own family.
Leading to why the support to stop SOPA is so strong I believe. The internet is a powerful thing which at the moment allows you to spread oppinions. If you were to do the same without the internet then you wouldn't get far at all.
I'm not very political but I can't help but feel frustrated about how nothing seems to be getting better for the sake of community.

RE: SOPA. Have you heard?
What the bloody hell? I'm not sure if this is SOPA related, but megaupload has been shut down by the Feds.
EDIT: OH FU NO! Minecraft.net is down as well! I don't know if it's shut down, but no one can connect!

In my case, it was the people, not media. Interesting enough
