So instead of spreading the talismans over two levels they spread them over four. Personally I don't see a need for it and I found the way it was paced in TDP to be excellent. Just gonna have to play Gold to see I guess.
It makes more sense to me, to have one mission for each talisman. To each their own I guess. Of course, maybe those new missions should've been a bit shorter, I don't know.
Ok, when you said Thief 3 would have worse controls than 1, I didn't believe you. But my god they managed to do it. At least the environments make up for it..

Huh? I don't find the controls to be bad at all... they seem like pretty standard 3rd person controls to me. What exactly bothers you about them? Or did you try to play in first person?
As for the environments, they're very atmospheric but I miss the more open levels of Thief 2. It allowed for more varied approaches and exploration whereas Thief 3 feels a bit more linear at times. I really like that you can explore the city between missions though.

I was using first person, and while third person controls do seem a bit better for movement (even though they are the same as the controls for first person, it's just easier when you see yourself) it's still harder to play the game in third because of garrett blocking your view. It feels like they tried to make the movement as realistic as possible, but ended up making it simply annoying with the bouncing and jumping and leaning. It's incredibly annoying how you can't move while leaning.
