RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion
Don't think I would play a demo if one came out. I wouldn't want to spoil anything for me ^^

To quell my disappointment from misreading your post (which is definitely your fault and not mine for reasons I can't go into because it's a secret) a screenshot or some unseen concept art would do just fine Or another time-lapsed video of you designing a level perhaps?

Stop distracting them! They should be working, not posting on forums! ò.ó (come to think of it - so should I... )

I'm mostly sure that they're working in collaboration; The Chinese Room is not making it singly. It's been mentioned in a few interviews with thechineseroom and Frictional Games - thechineseroom are doing all of the work (coding, level design, composing the music, script, choosing voice actors, etc, etc, etc) and Frictional are acting as Producers, ie kind of overseeing it all, financing it, acting as creative consultants, etc).
It's explained better in this interview:

One pertinent remark from Dan Pinchbeck (thechineseroom):
"So we're doing most of the development, Frictional are kind of producing it but it's not just them straightforward bankrolling the game, they're very heavily involved in the concept design and all that kind of stuff, and keep us honest as we go."

RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion
Thanks for the confirmation. I had someone tell me on Steam that Frictional had gone to consoles to make shooters and left Chinese Room in the dark >_>
As of September 2nd, 2014, I've left the Frictional forums. Check my profile for more details.

What's the URL of the thread where you saw it mentioned?

I think they shouldn't spoil monsters anymore, we already know more than enough. Some screenshots or short gameplay video would be fine.

What's the URL of the thread where you saw it mentioned? I'm not sure about shooters, but I don't remember the link. I'll try to find it.
Found the poster.

It was on the Black Plague discussion "Penumbra 3". It seems he was misinformed. He's one of the many; I'm probably remembering someone else with the shooter idea. These idiots are just making things up to spread them around for kicks.

Thanks, sounds very misinformed as you say (with a negative spin put on it).
