BTW, I have a quick question, too: those people which have successfully created custom animated characters (with bones, and rig) - what version of Maya were they using? 2011? Lower?
Cause HPL2 seems to be picky about the exact format...

2011 should work fine, so long as you know what you're doing.

I don't know about Cinema4D, but Blender and 3DS Max work fine with Amnesia. I hear Max's animation is wonky when it comes to HPL2, but Maya seems to work fine, so long as you do the rigging and export correctly. (follow tutorials listed above). All import models fine, but when it comes to animation, it is told that Maya works best. I, personally, use Maya for everything. =]
