Better to have a story and end it, then to never realise it has begun...

Wikipedia Wrote:On February 5, 2010 it was announced that the game had reached the alpha stage of development on all platforms.[19][20][21]
Two weeks later the developers released a new Teaser trailer that
showed actual game-play footage, and the developers began accepting
pre-orders for the game through their website.

Every time anyone asks about the release date, Frictional decides to delay it a day more, haven't you heard that? Please stop.

march is around Q2

Yah, march is Q1. They said "around Q2" but they don't mean any earlier, that's pretty obvious.

Around Q2 does not mean Q2 specifically; it could be slightly earlier.

Right, but the guy I replied to said, "They just said it will be around Q2, which means it will probably be in march or april."

I think saying that it'll "probably" be in the end of Q1 or the very beginning of Q2, when all we have to go off is "around Q2," is way too optimistic, especially considering FG's track record of delaying this game (not that that's a bad a thing or I'm opposed to it in any way, that's just a hard fact). Even if we were to get it in march, which technically is Q1 but still "around Q2," that would be a 5-6 month delay from the original release time.

Keeping this in mind, when FG gives us a window of time that the game might be released in, I think it's much more likely to be released later on than earlier. Think about it from the devs' perspective. They have 3 entire months (if not more, thanks to "around") to get this game to us, that's a lot of wiggle room. If every person here were given an assignment to write a paper, and given 3 months to turn it in, the vast majority would turn it in near the end. That's my logic here.

Then again I could be wrong, they could pump the game out in less then a month, but again, don't think that's very likely or even a good thing for the game: more time = more polish = better game.

Well, we will have to wait and see i guess.

Indeed we have to wait.
It is particular that TCR stated multiple times on twitter per employee that it tested the entire game and that it was looking great.
So they did the testing already is FG now testing if their testing was up to the job?

FG is basically taking the finished copy from TCR, testing it themselves, and preparing it for release. So the game is completely finished, frictional will just be making sure its' perfect. This is what I think is happening at least.

Sure, why not? You can never have enough testing when it comes to games! Wink Also they were probably already continuously testing while they made the game. It's an important part of development after all.
