No they are not, they worked on The Dark Descent much longer.

Actually I would say they are in development heaven.
Development hell is more when you're in the middle of the development strugling to get things done in time. Aamfp is done already but is getting a ton of polish because frictional gave chinese room some extra time.
I would call it heaven because you're pretty much just making something better without having to worry too much about deadlines since the game is actually already finished.

I wholeheartedly concur. It even gives me an exciting feeling to just think about it. The game is practically done, and they are staying calm while trying to simply make it a perfect experience, despite the fact that they are probably way more excited than us to finally get to release it. I imagine the wait being harder for them than it is for us, so I think they are doing a darn good job polishing it. x3

Just imagine the feeling when they are going to finally tell us the release date.

Technically, they've only delayed it once.

The wait really isn't hard for them. Polishing has been finished some time ago. What they're doing now is called marketing.

What do you mean?
By my count they've delayed it twice.
From halloween 2012 to Q1 2013.
From Q1 2013 to Q2 2013.

Life is a joke made by someone with a bad sense of humor.

At least you won't have to wait 4 years and getting an entirely different game (Splinter Cell: Conviction).

I very much doubt that the game is finished.
