The show never really states their exact ages (not that it would be the same in animal/pony years anyway). However the mane six are all thought to be of "adult" age despite the way their personalities are.

Fillies on the other hand (like Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom) are younger and are consider adolescents (children).

i know that. so the mane 6 and other ponies in their age group are 20-30 the alicorns and ponies in their age group are 40-55 and granny smith and ponies of her age group are...old. i beileve that the cMc are under 15. well...that is if ponies age at the same rate as humans

Not really sure about how they age. However in my opinion age doesn't really matter. In cartoons in general characters seldom age - they grow in personality and can remember things, but they usually remain the same age wise.

I don't think a childrens show would ever show any of the main/secondary characters dying. You have to remember that this show is intended for little kids despite its actual audience. I'd hate to see any of the characters die.

oh i get that they wont age and all. im jus trying to figure out what age they are at, know what i mean? im the kinda person who has to think about all the details about stuff. like the biological differenced between pegasi and earth ponies. im actualy about to start writing a "research paper" about it.

Someone on youtube, who analyzes the episodes, made a estimate of what their ages are and her is what he is guessing:

Twilight: 19

Pinkie/Rarity: 20

Rainbow/Fluttershy: 21

AJ: 22

This is just a guess and it is all we can go by for now.

This is just a guess and it is all we can go by for now.

I think we're safe in the assumption that we're in the northern hemisphere. From this all the ponies ages are 'the same', except Applejack who is probably considered a year older due to using her actual date of birth, I'd make her ~5 but only just and living with such young friends makes for her not acting her age. I'd probably sum all of this up to say they're all about 17-18 in MLP years (4-5 in RL pony years).

That makes our best guess something like this (to the nearest year) in RL/MLP terms:

Twilight Sparkle - 4/18 (fresh out of magic school)
Pinky Pie - 4/17
Rarity - 4/18
Apple Jack - 5/20
Rainbow Dash - 4/19 (rounding down to 4 due to the January birth thing)
Fluttershy - 5/20 (based off of the questions premise)
Princess Luna - Indeterminant
Princess Celestia - Indeterminant
Granny Smith - 50/200

I'm pretty sure this has been asked before, but which character is your favorite character (doesn't have to be a main character) and if you could make a list of the main characters from best to least best, what would it be?

My favorite pony is probably Applejack, since I haven't come very far into the show I barely know about any other characters than the main ones.

If I would make a list it'd go like this:

1. Applejack
2. Fluttershy
3. Rainbow dash
4. Pinkie pie
5. Twilight sparkle
6. Rarity

My favorite pony is not a main character it is actually a secondary character which is Scootaloo. However since you asked which of main is my favorite: I'd have to say Twilight Sparkle she is smart and usually tries the hardest (not to say shes a try hard XD).
