Idle Query #48

It's fun to be a quackpot IRL. Lately, when I've been feeling slightly annoyed by people, I like to say "*Insert Name* Pls" in the same manner of dolan saying "gooby pls"

However, I've heard many different interpretations of how to say "X Pls" from other people. For example, let's say you want to sass up some Kman. Would you say it in a really matter-of-fact way, as in "Kman, please," to emphasize your feelings of annoyance? Or would you try to sound like a quackpot by elucidating the please so that it sounds like "Kman, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease"? Or would you say it very literally and just pronounce "pls" without the vowels, as in "Kman, pls." Or would you even have no vowels in Kman either and say "Kmn, pls" in some garbled up consonant-only pronunciation? Or would you say it very quick and snappy without the comma so it's "Kmn pls"?

This has been troubling me lately, especially when a friend suddenly wrote the vowel-less version of their name followed by "pls" on the palm of my hand and I had no idea how to respond.

ERMAH-CHRENEHFLERF

It depends on the situation Smile

If the discussion is already a little childish, as in:
Person 1: "No I'm not"
Person 2: "Yes, you are"
Person 1: "No, I'm not"
Etc.
Then i'd stick with:
"[INSERT NAME WITH VOWELS] pls".
No comma, because I didn't even know there should be a comma, and since it originates from dolan, no comma is needed.

Though, am I finding myself in the middle of a discussion with professional grammar I'd say:
"[INSERT NAME WITH VOWELS], please".
With comma, because commas make you look like a genius, and maybe a '!' too.

Have I 'accidently' clicked on "The Dolan Thread", I'd go straight dolan with:
"[INSERT NAME WITHOUT VOWELS] pls".
Maybe some more s'es and l's.

Trying is the first step to success.

I rarely say "X Please." and I only do "x pls" if I'm bored and want to do something silly to humour myself.

If I do say it, then it is usually in a sarcastic manner, much like "Oh please...".
