RE: Screenshot criticism thread
Building my boardingschool...
EDIT: Wow, ok the picture got really dark on this computer. On my other computer it's fine. I hope you're able to see. It's not too dark ingame.
Pros and cons?

RE: Screenshot criticism thread
The first image has very strong lightrays considering the light (it's down to personal preference). Ignoring that you can see that the brightest part is the floor in the bathroom, whereas the lightrays are pointing to the wall - indicating that the sun is facing the wall (hitting it with its rays) first. Depending on sun orientation I would either move the pointlight to match the lightrays or rotate the lightrays to match the pointlight. Otherwise the lighting seems pretty accurate, as the "bounce effect" would leave the first area "of hit" the brightest, while having the rest slightly darker.
The second image has some nice normal mapping on the walls IMO, I don't particularily like the floor texture. Lighting seems nice, again strong rays (personal preference). Currently a little empty, but a good base! Good luck!
How are you going about creating assets/textures? (Import from other sources or making them yourself?)

I know the strong billboards/dark lights are in those pictures. It's because they get darker when i upload them. It looks better in game Good spot with the rays and the too lit floor. Didn't see that. I'll move the pointlight a bit.
The assets are all imported from White Night, which I of course will give all the credit for those models
But I'm not even sure I'm going to release it. Might only make some of my friends play it. It's like being in the school again... Now, just with horror
Oh, and the floor texture... I tried to find something that looked like blue linoleum (Which we had on the school) and this was the most accurate.
Trying is the first step to success.

First screenshots I've seen from you in ages, I like them! They're a little bit empty, but that's probably to be expected from a school. Although this school looks rather run down, so a bit of debris here-and-there would definitely spruce up the place :D
If that's your school, that's really creepy looking :p
Also, @Pshyched:
I changed the image link, you might be able to see it now. I was simply highlighting the large, black areas which were created by lack of a boxlight :)

Well... It's not complete copy... I might've changed a bit here and there...
Ok, I've changed a lot(!), but it's only to make the game better, and because that's what i've got to work with.
Good idea with the debris... It is, of course, a toilet (First picture).

Download this pack and use the linoleum texture

(also use the other assets such as cables and pipes as they're so useful)

RE: Screenshot criticism thread
Yea, I tried downloading the pack, but every object i tried placing had no texture :O
I don't know how or why it happened. I'll try again, and see if it works now.

RE: Screenshot criticism thread
This some screenshots from AFM. The file size is just too large and it'll be long to upload them each, not to mention an error. So, here's the link containing the screenshots.

When you have given JAP feedback you can give this some feedback too!
And tell me if the lighting looks better now!

RE: Screenshot criticism thread
Kullin, you've got some places that looks pitch black, even though you have a window. That doesn't make sense, since the window would light up every corner in the room, at least a little
