Executable wont... execute?

I try to use the menu item to run Penumbra Overture, it doesn't.
I try use the penumbra executable in the folder window, it doesn't.
I try to use it command line...

Try ./penumbra

TrY running the penumbra script and tell me what it outputs. Also attach your hpl.log from your .frictionalgames/Penumbra/Overture directory.

Also what Linux distribution and architecture are you runnng ( 32bit or 64bit )
what graphcs card and do you have the latest drivers installed?
