Valusoft Amnesia won't update, through their update or FG's!
Alright, I'm trying to update to 1.2 and am having an extremely frustrating time of it.
1. First I downloaded the FG Update, it copied into a different folder, and I read here that if you copied the files into the original and allowed them to overwrite, it'd work. That didn't work. Tried it 5 times now, uninstalling and re-installing.
2. Then I tried the update from ValuSoft's website. That one claims the game isn't even installed even though it's from them through Amazon!
Does anyone know how to fix this? There's one thread here and #1 worked for them but does not work for me. Am I missing something with ValuSoft's update?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really want to play Justine and some custom stories!

That and another were the ones I read...didn't work, and I don't know why.
No matter what I do, the option to play Justine doesn't exist. Sad really because I loved the game.

Try to contact ValuSoft or Amazon. Maybe they give you something.

I tried something new, and that was copying the files from the original Amazon folder over to the patch's folder, and it almost worked! The Launcher now shows "Remember" on the left and "Justine" on the right, but when I launch it crashes and says "Amnesia.exe has stopped working" so I'm stuck again.
I'm so close, but it won't work. Grrr.

Spoke too soon...it's crashing again. It works all the way until you select Start A New Game, and then it crashes.
Why can't this be easy?!

I'll tell you what the crash report reads.
Getting an EXCEPTION ACCESS VIOLATION in module Amnesia.exe at 0023:0051DC3F
Only Justine crashes, the regular game works fine. Why me?

Give us the HPL.log in My Documents/Amnesia/Main
