Got a chance to look at the Routine Oculus Rift trailer. WOW! So horror immersion + first person virtual reality.

So I gotta ask, is this secret project in any way related to the Oculus Rift? Did FG order their development kit yet?

I'm sure it already supports it, but that's not really an optimal resolution for memory space. 2k is good enough for pretty much anything.

But no 5 years later and 4K is the new "standard" for everyone.
It would be a shame when good games like this are not support it. It's true that this will need a big memory usage, but I just said it should "support" it, that doesn't mean everyone has to use it. But when it's on time and better hardware comes out, it would be nice for the future to play this games in full quality. Graphics are not everything, but why should good games miss it? When everyone in 5 years have a 4K screen it might looking ugly when playing games in lower resolution.

Lol I'm still stuck with using 1024 x 768, I ain't 'everyone'.

Does all this talk about sunlight mean we'll have a horror game set in the day? Because that would be good.

If the new game will still be using SDL, I have no doubts 4k resolutions will be supported. Actually if you consider little things like fonts and HUD elements to have them rescale to be recognizable on every possible resolution, you are all set.
