Can't launch game anymore

It looks like that's a log from a successful run of the game, which means that the game doesn't get to the point where it creates a new log file when you are launching it now. Does the aamfp.exe window show up at all before it exits?

All that shows up is the little menu where you can choose to go to the settings menu or just play the game

If you go to the folder where the game resides (should be something like Steam\Steamapps\common\Machine for Pigs) and run aamfp.exe directly does it work? This will narrow down whether it's a steam issue or a problem with Amnesia.

What does it say when you launch it from the folder?

EDIT: Ninja'd by the post above. I am predicting that Raging will receive an error of a missing "XINPUT1_3.dll" file, as are a lot of other people, myself included.

Actually, has anyone found any solution to that problem yet? I don't know where I should get the file itself.

Is aamfp supose to be the aamfp.exe file? because there is not .exe file

This is so weird, I was able to play without any problems..

Im pretty sure its a problem with the game, since all my other game runs normally

If it says it's missing XINPUT1_3.dll, perhaps re-installing DirectX will help? I'm not sure why it would work the first time and not the second, but perhaps it's worth a shot.

I can also confirm that neither of those solutions worked for me.

I reinstalled DirectX and it had no effect. It also worked for me the first time. Something changed, either in Steam, Windows, my ATI drivers, or in AAMFP that caused it to stop working. "XINPUT1_3.dll" refers to the windows controller compatibility program. I think the game may have gotten an update that was to refine the controller setup but has now caused the game to be temporarily broken.

EDIT: Actually, I don't remember why I thought XINPUT1_3.dll had to do with the controller compatibility; I know it has to do with DirectX, but reinstalling DirectX didn't do anything, so I'm lost.

I'd just download XINPUT1_3.dll from some website if I knew it wouldn't be infected.

I dont know if it will help, but sometimes when i launch AAMFP it only gives me the publicity screen of steam for others games , like when you end a game normaly ( sorry for my bad English there)
