Trying to get into the Air Force even though I wasn't mentally or physically fit enough, thus failing to graduate due to an adjustment disorder that devolved into full blown chronic depression, which I will probably carry with me for the rest of my life because I have a cynical world view that is mostly backed by evidence, thus not likely to change.

I'm not defending circumcision, but that is an ignorant statement. JAP is from an Islamic background, where it is customary to circumcise boys at ~10 years. It doesn't have anything to do with pleasure, in fact purely non-reproductive sex within marriage is encouraged exactly for the reason of fulfilling ones sexual desires and achieving a closer connection to one's spouse and therefore Allah.

EDIT: It's perhaps unreasonable to assume JAP comes from an Islamic family. I remember him saying as much one time but I'm not completely sure. Chances are good that he does though, considering 88% of Indonesians are Muslims.
