I think the lighting to the left in the image is nice. The luminescent(?) shrooms have, in my opinion, a too light effect on the room as a whole. An image from a wiki article:

Well, those shrooms you have basically light the whole room
I'd say have them make a local small light for each shroom and a larger, darker (green) light for the whole room. Fungi also tend to grow in wet areas, something which you can use to increase 'the coolness of how your room looks'.
Make a separate rock entity; duplicate the files and go into the specular file for the rock surface. Add 'waterpools' with a strong red+green intensity in the specular maps to simulate water on the rocks. They will look wet (parts of them) and probably reflect the light from the shrooms in a nice way. Secondly you could add a reflective water surface under the rocks, which could be made by modifying the texture of the 'water pool decal static object thing'. That pool of water would mirror the glowing shrooms above (adding awesome points!).
After that you could add some particle effects - fog and airdust to show the moist in the air from the watered room.
If the above sounds nice, but the execution sounds like mumbo-jumbo I could help you modify the assets required - as that should be fairly quick work.
