Yeah it was pretty disappointing the end. Kenny had way too much going against him for most people to even consider siding with him. I was more shocked when Clem got shot though, that was pretty cool. Also Luke's death fucking sucked because he was one of my favourite characters.
I think the reason why S1 was so great is because mostly everyone could side with Lee and it was really sad to lose a character like him. Whereas in S2, having a showdown between Kenny and Jane was nowhere near to the same affect, unless someone was a huge fan of both characters. Thats my theory anyways.

keep in mind i would have given the first season a solid 9
I hated it. I was actually crying, big pools of tears stained shirt and my eyes went blind for several minutes during the last episode because I couldn't stop laughing.
honestly same

like i didn't even hesitate when they made me choose between kenny and jane i had actively been looking for any way to kill kenny off for the last two episodes and was seriously laughing and clapping when they finally fucking let me shoot him. then jane turned out to be fucking insane too so i was like nah im leaving you behind too. there was basically 0 hesitation or emotional turmoil involved in either decision and i actively enjoyed killing kenny and i feel like that's kind of indicative of how shit this season was compared to the first

I seriously hoped that when Clem got shot and woke up in the RV next to Lee that it was all a dream. The story was already ludicrous so why not go full bonkers? If not a dream, a hallucination that Clem would not awake from. Dying in Lee's arms, happy.
"What you think is irrelevant" - A character of our time
I started hating Kenny by Episode 3. I pretty much lost all sympathy for him once he turned Carver's face into a meat pie. It started as a simple distaste for his choice, but by 5, he was the last character I'd want to live.
Doesn't help that ALL the likable characters died or went away by the finale, I had no investment between Kenny and Jane's big showdown. I really thought the big choice in the end was gonna be choosing between Luke or Kenny. I would've honestly chosen Luke, but too bad, we can't have Luke cause he'd be a middle ground when the group would split, that's why Bonnie got so out of character when he died, with her anger cig and what not.
I really think this season went downhill after the warehouse camp episode.
