Level editor

A my university mate and I want to create a level of Penumbra...
There is one thing that we did not understand...
Does exist tools & SDK for Penumbra Black Plague?

I've read that for Penumbra Overture there is not a level editor.

Not really, u can use Blender and such to make maps, but all tools are win32 only.

I've got a problem with this tutorial
After I download the tools I copy the content from the .zip file into the game folder.
I create a model and export it as a ".dae" data.
Now I wanted to test it with the "HPL Helper" but when I click on "view" I get a crash:
