"DIY" thread

Anyone interested in "DIY" stuff?

Things I've made:

- Cymbal stand (with adjustable height and beam).
- Guitar speaker cabinet (2x12" speakers)
- Acoustic panels (rock wool)
- "pop filter" (the circle thing in front of microphone )
- custom summing cable (1/4")
- basic 1/4" cables
- custom tools (for removing a wheel bearings from car)
etc,..

Things to be made (or unfinished):

- Spring reverb rack unit (for studio)
- microphone pre amp (for studio)
- phase switcher (for studio)
- snare drum

A lot of my projects are music related.

I need to replace the cooling fans of my computer because it's not very practical to get that "hiss" bleeding to mics when recording

Well, I'm currently making a cajon (a percussive instrument), and have just finished making a wooden pipe. Once I tried to make a cosplay suit - Ezio from Assassins creed 2. Made a few basic, but working, hidden blades for it, and most of the suit itself. A drum, a rattle, and a candle stand. The last one consisted only of three nails in a small plank xD

I made 2 mic stands (for overhead mics (drum recording)).

The joints are not so beautiful, because I ran out of protective gas.
(MIG welding machine (I think that the protective gas contains carbon dioxide and argon))

I started building a studio in old barn
Last week I cleared the rooms.
They was full of iron junk and some old wooden beams.
Yesterday I patched the floor with concrete and today I'm working on to get the roof patched with chipboard. There's going to be separated "control room" and "live room" and maybe isolation booth for vocalist and guitar/bass cabinets.
And the remote cables are so f***ing expensive. It takes the most of my budget.
Maybe in a couple of weeks I can do some test recording in there
