No. There are no gold arabic_statue ornaments in SOMA.

I have a new found respect for you now. I would've said the 's' word.

I did find something that reminded me alot of Penumbra Overture.

At site Alpha, after Ross gets eaten by the giant mutant fish - worm creature, you must exit through a tunnel. About halfway through that tunnel, there is like an earthquake, and you must run because the giant fish / worm is chasing you, if you look back you can see it coming.
That scene reminded me a lot of the giant mutant worm from Penumbra Overture that chases you through the mines. The worm in SOMA is strikingly similar to the one in Penumbra, their mouths are identical.

I'm not sure if this is anything special, but some of the filenames interested me.

- The friendly bot that has a pig-like face in the ocean is known as "cute_small". What happened to the large one? ',:^)
- The other friendly bot that actually helps you is known as "soma_kate" and in the room you get the cortex chip for the new body, a blueprint lists the bot as "K8-UH8". I didn't miss someone's brain scan going into that bot did I?
- There is also an infected ragdoll corpse version of Munshi. Not really an easter egg of sorts but there are a lot of unused things in here...

When you first enter the diving room at Omicron (before Catherine turns on the lights) you can hear a faint whispering - same one you hear when you use a save-artifact in Penumbra

In the music files there is also a 00_00_ringtone.ogg that's a snippet from the Overture credits music, but I don't remember hearing it in-game

K8 - Keight - Kate
Just a nickname, not a person.

With a filename like that, I assume it is/was suppose/d to be in the very first level (when you see the six or so images of Ashley(?)).

RE: References and easter eggs you found

The game might have Developer Commentaries hidden in there somewhere.

There is a file that stores the game's configuration. It is called "user_settings.cfg" and can be opened with Notepad. It is located in C:/Users/<username>/My Documents/My games/Soma/Main/user_settings.cfg
It has some interesting settings like God mode (that could be used for a smooth second playthrough, to let you search for each and every hidden plot item and easter egg) and Debbuging info (like FPS, VRAM memory usage, etc) that are useful for tweaking the graphical settings.

Notice that one of the first settings is something like "CommentariesEnable=false". Could changing it to a "true" state reveal the commentaries?

In Sarah's bathroom, you can find Carisoprodol drug on the shelf. It's commercial name is "Soma".

Also, how do I know answer to this question? Big Grin

Found this in Munshi's lab level. Gee, I wonder what it's referencing...
